Week 00: Shot Breakdown and Preparation

This semester, I would like to elevate my skill in creating a complex CG shot. Hence, I chose the shot which is from The Avengers (2012), when the Quinjet crashed to the ground in New York before the final battle, create a big collision and explosion.

For this project, I would like to push to another level of Rigid Body Dynamic, which I have learned the principle from last semester’s project, learning to do a medium scale explosion with fire, smoke, and sparks. Striking for high level of photo-real FX, I would like to implement all my knowledge of proceduralism and optimization to produce a high quality shot-recreation, as well as building HDA to showcase.
